Perfect bag, lightweight , packs small, and super warm
Rita C.
This was bought for my granddaughter who is going hiking at Philmont this summer. She was thrilled to receive it.
Jim R.
I haven't used it yet. But it compares in quality to my Enlightened Equipment quilt. I'm sure it will do its job well.

Bought six Eolus 0°F Ultralight 800FP Goose Down Sleeping Bags for our family adventure trip to climb Kilimanjaro this December. We leave in two weeks and will let you know how they fare.

Just finished a 2 nighter in the White Mountains of NH across 18 miles. Up North Twin, South Twin, Galehead, Garfield, Garfield Ridge to North Lafayette, up Mt Lafayette and down to the Franconia Notch. The 0 deg down sleeping bag was awesome no problems sleeping with temperatures down to the teens. Packed up nice and tight, no complaints whatsoever!
Margarita C.
I have used this sleeping bag for a few backpacking trips (spring time) and I love it! I tend to get very cold and this sleeping back keeps me warm. I hope to go winter camping and test how warm this sleeping bag keeps me but still not ready for this kind of adventure. I recommend it to everyone who gets cold easily and needs a lightweight sleeping bag.
DWIGHT R.
Can't wait to test it out, still way to warm to use it now. Love the size for packing & plenty of room for an old guy that doesn't like to be trapped in a bag. Elk season is almost here!
Nathan A.
Great, warm, light weight. Compact as well.
Susan D.
Bag was for son packing at high altitude with low temps this year into June. He appreciated light wt and warm bag in 20’s. Was pleased with performance.
Customer
The bag is lightweight and compacts well. Kickass price. The bag doesn’t seem as warm as other 0 degree bags I’ve had in the past because it is a bit thin. Felt cold in 30 degree temps. I would suggest a liner if the temperature is below freezing. But anything above freezing I was quite toasty.
Keith B.
Took this on an early spring rafting trip. Temps down to the high 20s. Slept on a cot w sleeping pad (r value ~4) under the stars without a problem. Warm all night wearing a single layer. Shell dried quickly from the accumulated morning frost/dew.
Michael J.
So far I really like it have not had a chance to use it. When I do will update review.
Adam B.
Great bag it was all good to experience the warmth. Packs down nice and small.
Mark S.
Warm, plenty of room, Great Sleeping Bag.......…..............
ragen d.
I have been using this sleeping bag for the last 3 months during the winter and have loved it! The quality of the down and the warmth is amazing! I also am amazed at how well it packs down! Definitely recommending this bag to others!
Adam
Nice bag and good price!
Bismark P.
We took a chance and ordered two of the bags and we where extremely happy with them. We plan on using them while in Colorado as well as keeping them in our cars during the winter time if we are in the mountains. They are well made and comfortable. They also come with the storage bag and makes it super easy to store. Many thanks for a great sleeping bag.
Shane S.
Positives:
I love the weight, width and length of the long version of the bag. Most long bags I've had were not truly long, because the hood would not fit over my head, and I'm only 6'1", however, I had plenty of room with room to spare. I also love how large the footbox is. My feet don't have to be squished together anymore. The zipper is amazing. Did not have any snags and has a very smooth operation.
Downsides:
I was able to feel a slight coolness along the the sides of the bag in 38 degree F temperature, but there was no coolness near the top, bottom nor near my feet, but for some reason just along the sides mid-bag, so even though the comfort rating states 30 degrees F, I believe it's more along the comfort level is more like 40 degrees F in my experience. Not as great as I expected for a 0 degree bag. In addition, the compression sack is limited to a certain compact size. It would be nice if the sack allowed me to compress the bag even further.
Overall impression:
Amazing features, great quality for the price, amazing customer service, but it could be a little warmer for a 0 degree F rating bag.

This is the second bag I've bought in 3 years. I've used it in the White National Forrest in 15 degree weather. Slept like a baby all 3 times. It is by far the softest and most comfortable sleeping bag I've seen. My girlfriend did an overnight with me in West Virginia this past fall. She has a good 0* bag, but after a chilly night she asked me if my bag was any better in Frigid weather. I let her use mine the following night . She woke the next morning and said, " I need one of these ". So, that's when I bought the second one. Camped out on Mt. Gyote, in the Smokies over MLK weekend after a hard snow and unusually cold Temps. Stayed warm and cozy all night. Absolutely recommend this sleeping bad!
Michelle
Exacting as described. Have not used it.
Melissa S.
This bag is THE best!! Super warm and can easily move and turn inside without disturbing the layout if the bag. Super convenient for someone that tosses and turns a lot. The long bag fits me with extra room and I'm 6'1". This bag is a must have for super cold nights under the moon!! Spend the money, you won't regret it!!
Trenton H.
Sleeping bag is great. The issue I had is the stuff sac. The draw string was in knots so bad I had to cut the string to get the bag out!! BS!!! You guys owe me a stuff sac.
Joshua H.
Bought me a new bag because my wife and kids have bags from hyke and byke and they love them. So my turn and yes I am very pleased
Jennifer M.
This is my second Hyke & Byke 0° bag and I love it! I gave my other one to my daughter who loves it too.
Kristin A.
I purchased this sleeping bag as a Christmas gift for my son. I can’t report on actual performance, but I immediately noticed the quality of the material, the zippers and boy does this fluff up! When my son opened this present on Christmas Day, he immediately commented on how he could feel the quality in the material. Overall, I am impressed with this company, the product and fair pricing! I will try to update after my son uses it.
Joshua
Love the bags. Well built and very comfortable. In the really cold I have a liner for mine and I sweat when I have ice on the outside of the bag.
Preston E.
During a Colorado hunting trip in October Camped at over 12,000 feet in Colorado we had to clear the snow for the tent. We woke up the next morning with snow on the tent. My new bag kept me warm and comfortable all night.
Kwok W.
I used the sleeping bag in a two-week car camping trip in Iceland. The lowest temperature was in the twenties. I slept well and never felt chill in this bag.
Tad H.
Warm and comfy - At 6'2" and 200'ish :), I have wiggle room and have yet to resort to throwing a bottle of hot water in the bag to keep warm in the teens and low 20's. It's a little bigger and heavier than my summer bag, but it's ounces well spent. And you can spend a lot more money on a competitor for similar results, but I wouldn't recommend it. The only ding I can come up with is that it's a little bulky when storing properly at home.
Bart O.
Used my new Eolus 0 degree sleeping bag on an Idaho wilderness hunt at approximately 7,000 feet in elevation during winter storms and tent camping. The bag worked wonderfully and I would recommend it to others.
Nathalie A.
I just returned from a kayak camping trip. Most comfortable best ultralight bag I've ever experienced ! Super warm! I am 5’3” and got the short length and it is the perfect size! Love it !!!
SCOTT J.
Family now owns four of the 0 degree down bags. Big kid got too tall for regular, so I bought him the same bag in long. I took the regular. Slept in it for the first time last weekend. Low 30s was plenty toasty. Kids often tell me when they do camping trips everyone else is freezing and they are nice and toasty. We've used the bags quite a bit. Great bags and hold up very well.
Donnie H.
Luv my new sleeping bag. Took it with to climb Kilimanjaro and it served me well. Never had a cold night. Temperatures were below freezing and snowing.
Sanh L.
Very warm and light! Love it
Brandon O.
Absolutely great sleeping bag !!
Jennifer S.
Took this bag down to Bolivia and used it at Huayna Potosi high camp (16,800ft), Illimani high camp (17,900ft), and other places. Very happy with the size it packs down to, the warmth, and the features. Great purchase!
Amy
Very warm, great price for weight to dollar. Has the bells and whistle to make sure you are as snug as a bug in a rug.
Kelly P.
It was very warm down to 28 degrees with under armor and a sleeping pad. It would have been just fine with colder temps. I am very happy with my purchase!!
Donavon H.
It worked great in the mountains of Colorado!! September hunting.
Jacob G.
It's about warmest bag I ever been in.
Treesah Green R.
Most comfortable best ultralight bag I've ever experienced !
Joshua G.
Kept me warm in the mountains.
William B.

Mike R.
Looks like it’s well made, will be trying it out second week of October, elk hunting at 10,000 feet
Jenell J.
It’s good. Reeel good. Feels extra fluffy and when I need to hugga cloud in da woods, I lay on it while I cry about how I can’t do dat
Swetha B.
Tried once one a warm day and it worked well. I was feeling warm at time but minimum temperature at night was 50s. Yet to try it out on one of the cooler days in fall. Hopefully it will work well on colder days as well.
Lyndsy R.
Love this sleeping bag. Keeps you warm and it’s so comfy!
Michael S.
Purchased my second zero degrees down sleeping bag.
Excellent product!
Took it with me on a 5,300 mile road trip out west.
It gets cold in the mountains at night.
I was never cold while using the Hyke and Byke zero rated down sleeping bag.
david f.
Best bag, I have ever had, for the price. Light, lofty, and warm. A thru hikers dream bag. I recommend to all. Thanks Hyke n Bike.
Lu E.
It's like sleeping in a warm cloud.
Eric F.
We just returned from hiking Mount Kilimanjaro. During our trip we each (4 of us) used the Hyke and Byke Eolus 0 degree ultralight sleeping bag. It worked perfectly for every night of our seven day adventure up the mountain. The difference in air temperature from the base to the summit and from day tonight was pretty extreme. The one thing we knew we could count on was the warmth of our sleeping bags as we got into bed each night. I would highly recommend this sleeping bag for any high adventure travel where the temperatures will drop below freezing. I don’t think the nighttime temperature during our trip dropped to zero, but the last two nights were probably in the 15 to 20° range. We were toasty and warm throughout. For this price, I cannot imagine a better option for our trip. I can’t say enough about how great these sleeping bags worked for us!
allison k.
I got these for my kids and they are finally warm camping in our mountains!!! Thank you!!
Signe H.
My new zero degree sleeping bag is very high quality, awesome price, and also I had perfect service from hyke&byke. Would def recommend.
David K.
Light weight, warm and well worth the price.
ELAINE L.
It’s a bit snug and I’m an average sized female.
Eric F.
Great bag! Very comfortable, fairly easy to pack up, stays warm in cool temps, would absolutely recommend.
Bridger K.
Very warm. Material is very soft and feels like a luxury $400+ bag. I really really dislike the velcro flap that secures the bag next to your face. Even with this, still 5 stars.
Rachael M.
Took this bag out to the Colorado mountains and kept me toasty during the 26-30 degree nights. I run VERY cold and my 20 degree bag is more like my 45 degree bag, so this was exactly what I needed. Packs down well and lighter than any other bag I found at this price!
Zachary G.
Great product and even better customer service! Highly recommend!
Emily K.
The color is wonderful and the fabric is super soft. It packs down small and the weight is decent for the temperature rating - I took it out backpacking in temps around 30 degrees and I was more than toasty. However, I wasn’t aware that the bottom of the bag was synthetic when I purchased it. Nothing on the website mentions that this bag is NOT 100% down which was a bit disappointing. I think this should definitely be acknowledged to the consumer because I felt a little deceived. The zipper is also noticeably drafty, I just shoved some clothes next to it and that helped. Overall, it’s a good bag for the price.
Richard L.
My Chihuahua/Terrier mix Billy loves to snuggle into our Eolus down bag on a chilly night!
Michael M.
Recently used my zero degree bag on an elk shed hunting trip in Idaho. The overnight lows were in the 20's and I stayed nice and cozy.
Skyler C.
Great for all year use and pricing!
Antonio m.
Light, fairly compact and warm.
While I haven’t tested it in extreme cold, definitely sweating in the low 30s
Joseph S.
Iv only used it a few times since I bought it. So far no complaints it functions properly. I have use it in mid 30 degree weather and didn't zip it up completely because it was to hot. Side note it's recommended that for long term storage it is hung up in it's natural full form. I have a xl and it's about 7-8ft tall .
Marco V.
If you're thinking of buying this bag stop and just do it! I love the warmth to weight ratio and quality. Tested this in 30 degrees and was so warm I did not want to get out of the bag. One of the best gear purchases to date.
Erin S.
GREAT bag. My favorite part is also my least favorite part: the zipper. I love how easy and smooth it zips up, but that means it unzips easily in the middle of the night if I'm turning too much. Maybe a velcro catch at the top? Otherwise, so warm. Kept me toasty with just a liner and Long John's on a 28°F night.
Russel W.
I haven't had the opportunity to use my purchase yet but I believe it will perform as expected.
Paul M.
It’s Ben great works great in cold weather
Milton H.
Worth every penny! Got it down to about 23F and stayed nice and toasty all night
Paul H.
It looks like a quality product, have not had a chance to try it out.
Alexandria A.
I've had this for a while and always loved it, but I finally tested it's metal in dead winter, single digits Fahrenheit. I had this thing all zipped up and hooded. I woke up at one point feeling a little sweaty and had to crack the zipper a bit. Everyone else I camped with froze the whole night. I usually sleep cold. I'm 5'6" 130 lbs and I think I ordered a small, but I can't quite remember.
JEFF R.
I used the Eolus 0 degrees for a hike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Slept in a tent, wearing first layer of clothing at higher elevations. I was comfy and warm every night even when temps dropped well below 25 degrees F. I liked the bag so much and wanted to share it, so I gave it to one of the porters. I'm sure that he is enjoying it. Best bag I ever owned.
Carsen H.
Super warm! I am 5’3” and got the short length and it is the perfect size! Plus my dog is obsessed with it as well:)
Devon C.
Bought it for my husband for a kayak trip down the Grand Canyon. Temps dipped to 20s every night and his kayak gear froze, but he said the bag kept him super warm. He said he had to shake it out because it got packed out around his shoulders, but other that that it was great, light enough for him to stow in his kayak and he was overall really happy with it.
kyle w.
Stuffing wasn’t distributed very evenly, unfortunately.
Nate R.
The Eolus 0 F is the all around best option for winter backpacking! Most other sleeping bags that can go down to 0 F will either cost more and be just as light, or be heavy and cost the same amount. No other bag is as economic, light, and reliable. I took this bag backpacking in January in sub 10 degree weather, with light wind, slept in sweat pants, a tee-shirt, and a jacket, and was sweating when I woke up in the morning! Although one could argue that because this sleeping bag doesn't come from a huge established company it might be less reliable, but I have had no negative experiences with the bag, and believe it will continue to serve me well. So, if you're looking for a light weight cheap bag, search no longer, and buy the Eolus 0 F bag!
anthony l.
Just got back from camping down in the Grand Canyon and experienced a low of 19 degrees and didn't feel a thing. I was extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this bag.
Rachel D.
Fits great at 5’4. seemed warm but when tested out camping could feel the cold ground right through the bottom, making me freeze my butt off in 40degree (damp) weather!
Bryan H.
I expected it to be warmer since rated at 0.
20 degrees in a tent on an inflatable pad and cot and I was wearing long johns, got cold after 4 hours.
Bryan S.
Haven’t used it. But looks good and my kids love there’s.
Dixie P.
Foot area is a little tighter/snugger than I really like. Other than that I am very pleased with it.
Suzan T.
Item was shipped on time. Sleeping bag was amazing quality. Can’t wait to use it on my first packing trip. No doubt it will keep me warm.
David S H.
Order and delivery process were great with constant communication about my orde. I already had another hyke and byke bag so I knew what to expect and was not disappointed at all
Scott C.
Probably would not buy again. The down bunches up and won't spread back out. So, I get cold spots and have to shift around more at night. The foot is glorious. The zippers are great as is the closures around the shoulders and head. But try as I may, I cannot shake the down to spread out evenly. Wanted to love this bag but it falls short.
Brenda P.
Looking for a light weight truly warm sleeping bag and found it Thanks
Paul F.
Wonderful quality, very warm and cozy.
David C.
Don't let the nice pic fool you. I was in for a rough few nights back in October 2021 at RMNP. Rocky mountain national park. It came a severe winter storm with gusts up to 70mph. This Elos bag kept me warm down to 17 degrees. It even got wet at one point and still managed to get the job done. Great bag for the price point ☝️. Good job.
HEATHER H.
beautifully made and extra warm!!!
jon k.
it works really well used it on a mid november deer hunt in Michigan upper peninsula
Zach S.
Look, it’s a nice sleeping bag, my only gripe is that mine came with a section that has no down in it. It’s a large panel that is on the ground side of the sleeping bag near my right shoulder blade. Wouldn’t be an issue if I was using a tent or a sleeping pad. However I have to go for a very light system with just the bag and a Gortyex Bivy. There is significant heat loss due to the missing down. I have to wear extra layer when I sleep or due to the missing down I would have significant issues aka hypothermia. Not to say it’s a bad sleeping system just the one I’m using currently has a patch missing down. ( not what I would expect from a bag this price ) I’m sure most don’t have this issue,
but mine does. Good luck to anyone using this for their next alpine endeavor, stay safe and stay warm!
Ashley A.
I love these sleeping bags, they're so soft on the inside and ridiculously warm...BEST PURCHASE EVER
Christine K.
Very pleased with my purchase. It reduces to a perfect size to fit into my backpack and was extremely warm on my last backpacking trip when the night temps were 20 degrees .
