Easy to set up, lightweight for the price, includes groundsheet which is a plus, but not great in the rain. I ended up getting wet on my 1st rain night with the rain cover and groundsheet. My sleeping bag ended up getting wet from water dripping from the top and seeping up through the groundsheet from the bottom. I camp dried everything so we'll see how it does in the next rain storm.

This is the first tent I have used while backpacking (usually a hammock camper) and I loved it. Easy to set up and tear down, everything is made from high quality materials, and the weight of the system is not bad at all. I am 5'11" and have plenty of room inside the tent. I am a big fan of the pockets in every corner!

All I expected. Used for winter camping and kept all the bedding together. Liked the top guide lines and reflective line. Liked the small gear door. Set up in snow, but everything worked as advertised. There is little to no room in the tent bathtub for gear, however. Vestibule is ok for this.

So far I have used my Yosemite tent just for car camping. I'll use it for backpacking this summer. I really like it so far. The amount of space inside is just right. The tent did well in the wind.

First trip was a 4 day canoe trip camping and traveling each day. First night it rained all night. The Tent held up great. Never saw water inside. This is a quality tent at a great price. And a lifetime warranty. I lost a tent peg.. just didn’t see it. The string or cord on each tent stake needs to be yellow so that it may help see it should it get missed. Great tent. Thanks!

As an Amateur Astronomer I always wanted to go to Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania. I did, just the other day on October 27, waking up to a chilling temperature that dipped below 31 degrees Farenheit.
This one man tent performed brilliantly in keeping out the moisture. Coupled with a sleeping bag (natch) I was toasty warm throughout the night.
I disassembled the tent after sunrise. For over a minute I was shaking off powdered ice from the tent fly. To my surprise ice accumulated on no other part.
Please recall that this is a one person tent. So don't expect to be able to remove your cold weather gear (insulated jumpsuit) while being in the tent. It an be done. However it's more acrobatics than spatial comfort.
There was plenty of space to leave my boots, outside under the tent fly. When I went to put my boots on, in the morning, they were dry. Truly. Not even an accumulation of moisture.
When colleagues or friends have asked me if I was happy with a purchase, I'd usually hem and haw. However, this tent does make me happy.

I like the tent and only negative is the rain cover is heavy and makes the tent heavy.

Great tent. Very roomy for one person. Large vestibule on one side and a smaller one on the other, accessible by a handy little zipper. Stayed dry after a night of rain. Only drawback is it's not super lightweight.
Kamryn L.
Held up great in the rain, was comfortable and cozy. Easy set up and easy to put away.

Bought this as a space saver/ lighter weight option vs my 3 person tent I usually carry. Haven't field tested it yet, but seems to have ample room for me, my 90lbs Shepard, and my 50l pack. Can't wait to try it out.

I bought this tent for a 25 mile through hike that I was doing on the AT over 18 hours. I helped me save space, weight and stay out of the elements. Great value for the price. Thank you!

The tent is great! But the carry bag is not well made and able to withstand minor abrasions. Ruined after one week trip in Ut.

Spent my first night in my new tent in cold mountain snow. Matched with my Snowmass sleeping bag, slept like a baby! The double layer design kept the moisture outside the mesh inner portion of the tent keeping me and my gear dry.

The Yosemite I is definitely a one person tent. It didn’t even provide enough space for me and my 10 year old grandson. However it is what I was looking for when backpacking. Even though the pack weight is a little heavier than I had hoped the trade off is the additional space for me and my gear. I am preparing to backpack 200 miles and will be able to provide a better assessment of my tent upon completion.

I've used the tent on back country camping a few times, pack weight was a little over 4lbs. For the money, there isn't a lighter tent on the market. I'm 6'5" 220 lbs, the tent fits but has no extra room, fortunately the rainfly has room for my pack outside the tent. Quality is good, the rainfly comes down far enough that rain is not an issue. What makes this tent stand out to me is the fact it comes with the ground tarp, tent, rainfly, and lightweight stakes in one purchase. The cost of the tent alone is good, but having all the needed accessories included makes this a great buy to me. I would purchase this tent again.

Tent pegs were basic plain shepherds hooks, not the nicer pegs. The tent with the hyke and bike ground pad, do work well together. My only issues other than the basic pegs, was that being 6’4” I was touching with both feet and head. So if you’re over 6’2” or 6’3” I’d be wary about Length.

Nice tent. Not completly waterproof in a heavy rain. Zippers are not YKK as advertised. They are SBS zippers.

This time I got the Yosemite one-person backpacking tent and the standard Appalachian inflatable pad. I also have their 2-person Yosemite, which worked out beautifully for weeks away tent-camping on a volunteer project - all items are durable and easy to set up. They're also really nice people to work with in terms of questions and customer service. I'll be taking the one-person tent and the inflatable pad back to Scotland as soon as they open up. Cheers and happy camping to all!

It is a great tent, exactly as you advertise. I decided I would rather have the Yosemite 2. It is such a great price I don't mind getting another one.
Brad P.
Bought 20 for a ymca camp. We love them and use them on all of our outdoor wilderness trips that leave camp property.

Havent had a chance to use it yet, but it sets up real easy and packs smaller than my last tent.

Awesome quality! Recommend to anyone!

Great tent. Great price. Great company.
I looked at a lot of tents online, read reviews, compared prices, etc. At the end of the day this tent was the best choice by far. Affordable, high quality, light weight and the company is doing the right things. I recently spent 4 nights at 6000feet, with high winds, freezing conditions with hail and snow. This tent was my savior. The first night my sleeping pad failed, but this tent kept me completely dry and warm. Winds reached 20+mph and it didnt budge. Once inside, the wind, hail and rain was kept outside. Not one drip. One thing annoying about other tents is the issue of getting it packed back in the bag. Not this tent. Super easy to set up, take down and pack. Compact and light makes this the perfect tent. Very happy and would recommend this to a friend or family member.

Great value, great design
Been Hiking for 51 years and 1/2 my hikes are solo treks. This for me and my region (Mid Atlantic and North East USA ) is the best three season solution. WIth out a fly it is dreamy and keeps most of heavy dues out. Not quite sleeping under the stars but close.
Construction is not bullet proof but reasonable for its purpose. For the price a great value.
The best for last. Great design. The ground cloth is worth its weight and makes set up and take down cleaner, faster and speeds up drying time if you like me don't like to pack soggy gear unless it is unavoidable. Enough room to navigate dressing and undressing and the shelf at the top is the cherry on the top.
Great service too. Two thumbs up!

Hike Bike
The entire set up is heavier than I expected.
When I opened the box I was surprised to see how large the package was. The tent is nice and long. Tent, footprint, pegs, frame, rain fly, everything all together weighs in at a whopping 4.56 pounds. I'll keep it so I have an extra tent, but the tent I'm currently using is about 3.75 pounds total. Looks to be well made, but the weight, IMHO, is a little much.

INCREDIBLE TENT VALUE
I recently received this tent and tested it in my backyard first in a serve Thunderstorm. It survived and had no leaks at all so I was excited to get this tent out next for a 2 day backpacking trip in North Eastern Kansas on a fishing trip. SO easy to set up and very light weight in the pack. I used all three pieces of the tent the ground cover, bug cover and tub and the rain fly the first night because we had rain in the forecast. The second night I left off the rain fly so that I could view the incredible night view of the stars and milkyway at night. I was bug free all night long. I plan to use this tent in Colorado this week in some of the most remote locations and have a high confidence it will serve well. I truly believe that this is a great price, great tent offered by a great company.

Great company! Great product! Great customer service!
UPDATE: I recently used this tent for the first time whisky hiking the FL Trail. The last night of the hike we were expecting heavy wind and rain and I must say that the tent performed beautifully. We had winds in excess of 35 mph for about 5 to 6 hours and I never got one drop of water in the tent. Not even one drop inside of both vestibules. I am very pleased with this tent and I will recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, reasonably priced and well-made backpacking tent.
The moment I ordered this tent on Amazon, I received an email from the owner of the company assuring me that I am getting a great product from a great company. I received the tent and immediately set it up. SUPER easy set up from beginning to end took about 5 mins. (pretty good for the first time) The poles are aluminum NOT crappy fiberglass and are super lightweight. I cannot wait to put this tent to good use very soon.

Survived a Thunderstorm
I bought this after ready all the reviews. And let's face it, price is great. Our annual all girls backpacking trip was amazing, we survived a horrendous thunderstorm that lasted 3 hours. At one point we thought about abandoning our tents and heading down to our cars because the rain was not stopping. And we where concern if our tents would be able to take all that rain and wind. We decided to stay as our tents wher still standing and we where dry inside. After the storm moved away, we finally where able to get some sleep and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. There was so much mud between the liner and the bottom of the tent. That I somewhat cleaned but washed as soon as I got home. The tent stood the ultimate test as it kept me and my items dry. I completely recommend this tent, the product is well made, and the price is unbelievable. I also liked that I received a few emails letting me know about my package delivery.

High quality
Hyke and Byke makes high quality gear. I got a 2 person Zion, and this one person Yosemite. I was blown away by the quality of the Zion. Everything was so well thought out, and high quality. This Yosemite is a little "old school" but with high quality materials and stitching, and really nice for solo backpacking and motorcycle camping. Also, some of the bivy's are too small (short) and really don't work for a 6' guy. This tent is perfect - nice and light for solo, but big enough, and the fly is well thought out so you can put your pack "beside" you, and a small zipper access that side of the tent, with the big zipper door on the opposite side (and more rain fly in a larger vestibule there). So, great buy! Thanks for the happy surprise. I really can't say anything bad - poles are light and strong, design great, doors great, materials light but strong. Great tent!

Perfect tent setup!!
Took this tent on 100 section hike on the AT. Performed better than I had hoped for by far! Rained like crazy and the tent stayed dry; didn't rain proof bc manufacturer said it didn't need it. They were 100% right! The included footprint was great to have for ground protection from dampnesss and punctures. Plenty of room for sleeping and all my gear. Can't say enough good things about it!! No need to spend huge $, this tent is it!!
