Fantastic tent. Very reasonable price. Lived in this thing for 4 months working a season for a conservation corps out in Utah. Withstood rain, wind and even snow and kept me warm and dry the whole time. I developed somewhat of a attachment to it but unfortunately a mouse chewed some holes in it so it's time to move on. It is very lightweight and my only gripe is that it's pretty voluminouse and took up a lot of space in my pack. But other than that could not be a better tent. Felt like home.

Great tent that was easy to set up and use -- super light and great for camping or backpacking!
Sara C.
Used for a four day backpacking/hunting trip. Removed the fly to make it "ultra light". The weight wasn't bad, but it was bulky and took up a lot more space than I hoped. Other than that, it was great.

Love my Yosemite 2 tent. Lightweight, simple and quick to set up. Are use it whether car camping or most of the time bike packing. On one trip in Pennsylvania bike packing. We had a horrible downpour with lightning thunder and Highwinds and the tent withstood the test.

Finally had the chance to use my tent! Easy to set up. Really like the double doors! Nice hiking tent for one or two persons.

I had taken my brand new tent from hyke and byke to Montana for two weeks of rafting and camping along the rivers; it had rained and hailed many times, and your tent had kept all my gear inside, including me high & dry!
Brad J.
So far I really like what I see. Materials appear to be quality and set up is easy. I purchased this to use on some extended cycling trips where the gear is moved for me, so weight is not a huge issue. That being said, I do wish it could be a bit more compact and it would be great if the clip on the top of the tent would clip to both poles. I’m really looking forward to using this on my 300 Mile Make-A-Wish ride in July.
Brad J.
So far this seems to be a good purchase at a good price. I haven’t spent much time in it yet, but set up is easy and tent seems durable. It does seem to be a bit bulky when packed, not really sure why. One upgrade I would like to see is a top clip that clips both poles in the middle. So far so good. Looking forward to using it on my Make-a-Wish bike tour.

This tent is simply amazing! I absolutely love it!

This tent was easy to set up and take down. Construction seemed to be of the highest quality.

Used my new tent this weekend and just love it! Easy to put up and take down. Love the two doorways which make it more flexible. Looking forward to using it again next weekend!

Great tent. Easy to use. Quick set up. Have been waiting to purchase sleeping pad without success. Hopeful In the future. Happy to support small USA businesses

Great lightweight tent!
Swetha B.
Easy to set up. 2 person tent was spacious for me and my pup. The rain fly was great and kept us dry when it rained. My only feedback if I have to be picky is I hope they figure out how to make the view slightly visible even when it rains (like an awning model)

Lots of head room

The tent worked wonderfully! I went camping in the Rocky Mountains, and it was so easy to set up. There are doors on both sides, so no one has to crawl over the other to leave for whatever reason. It's mesh everywhere so very breathable with circulation during the day when its hotter. The rainfly did very well blocking the wind at night! Good quality tent
Brian A.
Good quality for the price. Tent did great under rain with no additional treatment. Only downside was that one of the backpacking stakes broke on the first use.
Randy J.
Easy setup and lots of space.

I have never written a review before but I have been so pleased with my tent, I felt it the least that I could do. I have lived in the Yosemite 2 person tent for 22 months in California. It has held up very well. I have just ordered another because the zipper has stopped working on one of the doors. Also the rain fly is needing to be replaced. Although it does not rain a lot where I’m at, the tent has done very well in periods of strong winds and heavy rain. I love the deep bucket that makes up the tent floor as well as the walls made entirely of screen mesh. Thank you Hyke and Byke for creating a product that is affordable and of good quality. Kudos to you. May we all follow your example of kindness.

Loved the water proof sturdy bottom, sleek design, strong zippers and fast set up. Super light weight and stayed bone dry in torrential down pours where water pooled up pretty deep. We also had super high winds and the tent felt solid. Love the fly with footprint option for long treks. Strongly recommend for those who trek regularly and want something light but tough that will last.

This is actually the 2nd time I purchased a Yosemite 2 person tent. I absolutely loved mine so I bought one for my daughter! My buddy, who already has 2 tents by the way, liked it so much that he decided to buy one! There is only one word for this tent...PERFECT! We do quite a bit of kayak camping. Our most recent trip was 3 days on the Allegheny River. The tent all packed away fits easily into a dry bag with my sleeping bag and pillow. Setting it up is a snap...literally! No tent sleeves to deal with. Just clip on to the poles and poof! You're done! The footprint and separate footprint bag is a stroke of genius! When kayak camping, sometimes things need to be packed up wet. The muddy footprint goes in its own bag before it packs up easily with the rest of the tent. The rest of your tent does not get muddied up by the footprint. This tent was obviously designed by people who camp! Like I said earlier...PERFECT! If anything ever happened to this tent, I would not hesitate to purchase another.
Caleb H.
Bought this tent for our Boundary waters trip to Minnesota for our Boy Scout troop. Tested it out on a shakedown and it worked great in torrential rain and 40+ miles per hour wind. Very easy to sit up, and Everything stayed dry and my son and I had plenty of room.
Kai O.
It was hard to let go of the tent that I have been backpacking with for over 10 years - but it was time to upgrade to a more light weight tent. This tent was easy to set up, lots of room and fun to hang out in. I camped in a hot, dry climate - no rain so wasn't able to test the rain fly - but put it on anyway - very happy with my purchase!

Got out with my wife to camp for the first time in our new tent. We loved it! It’s quick and easy to set up. Love that it comes with the footprint and gear loft. A great size for the two of us.
Wesley B.
It ran for 12 hours straight on the first night I used this tent. It leaked not a drop. The materials and construction are top notch. It has lots of storage and plenty of space for two people and their gear. This is a great tent.

Looks good quality

It’s still winter like in Michigan, so I haven’t actually been able to camp out and use my new Hyke ‘n Byke Yosemite 2p tent yet.
I have set it up in my living room and found that it’s very easy to set up.
Love that it has two doors with two vestibules.
It’s also very roomy inside. More like a 21/2 person tent.
Looking forward to summer and trying out my new Hyke ‘n Bike tent!
Armando C.
The 2 man Yosemite was excellent during a September elk hunt. 2 vestibules and doors allow for easy outside latrine duty and gear up close and dry while no disturbing the other hunter. We split the components up thereby carrying only about 2.6lbs each. It is exceedingly easy to set up and then you can simply pick it up and place it wherever the ground is best suited then stake it down. Best bang for your buck and quality.
Marjorie A.
Very lightweight, easy to set up. Perfect size
Meghan S.
Great tent, took it backpacking this past weekend in Dolly Sods, WV. Slept 2 people and 2 dogs (both around 40lbs) comfortably. Weather was around 30 degrees at night, and it kept us warm. We did have a little breeze, but it was extra windy and I don't think we staked one of the ends very well. Overall, love the tent and would recommend.
Marisol F.
Lightweight. Pockets in every corner. Hanging pouch from top of tent is great for placing headlamp to use in dark to light up inside of tent while trying to settle in. Tent is easy to put up and take down.
bleu O.
I like that it packs up small, but I don’t like the way the rain fly opening doesn’t line up well with the tent opening
Ana C.
A dream. The perfect tent for me (one, glad I got the 2person tent) and a comfortable tent for 3-4 to play cards in. I am so happy and a proud tent owner now.
Tristin R.
I took the 2 person Yosemite tent on a two and a half week trip to do field work to MT. The tents size is great, it’s easy to set up and take down, and is basically identical to high dollar brands that my friends own. We stayed all over MT from Yellowstone to Glacier National Park. It rained multiple days and I never got wet. There were high winds a couple nights and even with the backpacking stakes only half in the tent never blew over. The only issue I could think of was the entrance was a little tight. I’m a 6ft male and I found it challenging to crawl out of entrance in the mornings. I would definitely recommend this tent a friend.

Garage setup making sure I’m good to go next week….

Such an amazing lightweight tent. Very easy to put up and break down

Just did my first trial run. As an ulrta-light backpacker, I always wish gear could be lighter, but for price point, material quality, and company mission, I’m excited to add this to my pack, as well as have room for a hiking companion with the 2 person tent. One of the aluminum stakes did break while pushing into the ground which I didn’t expect on the first use. I love the double entry on each side, but curious why the doors unzip opposite of each other. I assume most people would sleep side by side, not head to toe which is how the doors are oriented for entry and exit? In terms of service, my shipment was delayed a couple days in processing which took a few inquiry call and emails from my end, and was still sent regular shipping which meant it didn’t arrive on time for the trip I had intended to first use it on. Would of been nice if it Hyke & Byke had expedited it for me. Also, my two cents from a consumer stand point, it didn’t feel very good to have already purchased both the sleeping pad and tent at the retail price advertised, and then get a follow up email advertising the same products at a lower cost!?

So glad to have found this website. My tent is perfect!

My Yosemite 2P tent got a trial by fire - wind actually - on its first trip with me to the Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. On the first two nights, the tent held very firmly against sustained winds that might have been in the 35 to 45 mile per hour range. (I hope you'll understand that I do not take an anemometer on my wilderness canoe trips.)
I assume that the netted sides and ceiling reduce the weight a bit and certainly increase the ventilation. This is welcome for summer trips in northern latitudes, but be sure to bring your better sleeping bag, thermal underwear, and thick socks to keep warm if the forecast predicts temps in the 30s Fahrenheit. One distinct disadvantage to the netted sides and ceiling would come if you ever had to set the tent up during rain. Be prepared to wait for the storm to pass.
I am roughly 5' 11" and felt comfortable lengthwise. I wonder how comfortable two people of my height would be sleeping in the Yosemite 2P together. If you do not want any gear - other than sleeping pad and bag - in the tent with you, it may be wide enough for two people. The tent does have a big vestibule for boots. A zippered door on each side is a welcome feature.
Jenn W.
First time use. Rained/snowed all night long and it was dry inside. I really like the size-good for one person but it is a little tight for two but it does work. Guy lines don’t seem to do much so won’t be using them. The only real complaint I have about it is the weight. Almost wishing I had bought the 1p instead for the weight. Went with the Yosemite over the Zion due to weight as well. But I would definitely buy again. For the price and as a first time backpacker I think it’s a great tent.
Trevor
Bought this tent to pop up next to a RV trailer on a family trip and it was exactly what I was looking for. It is good quality and supper easy to set up. The ground was too hard for me to get stakes in it with the hand pusher so I just rolled up the vestibules and slept with it wide open. I plan on getting some heavier duty stakes in case it rains next time. Supper glad I went with the two person as there was enough room for my bags and for me to move around comfortably. I also bought this tent for future backpacking trips but have decided that it is too heavy unless you are sleeping two people and can split the weight. Still happy with it though and I am going to keep it around as a car camping tent.

Location: Gooseneck State Park in Utah. This was the maiden voyage using my 2-man Yosemite and it performed great. Easy set up and take down. As you can see, a good nights sleep.

Love the tent light weight good materials

It’s in the pack ready to go! I set it up before heading out. Looks great!
Are you ready for the country?
Brian
Amazing 2P backpacking tent! I love the tent stakes and the hand disc to press them in. Also love how the rainfly buckles in to the tent body or footprint depending on what setup you're doing. The tent is a little heavier than some ultralight options on the market, but the durability and comfort make this well worth the extra pound or two. This tent held up well against 45mph wind gusts at 1,800 elevation. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and I've convinced others to buy from hyke and byke too!
Scott D.
The best packing tent for multi day hikes. Plenty of space for two people on a heck of an adventure.

Great air flow. Easy 1 person set up. Lightweight.

Went camping this past weekend for the first time with my new tent and sleeping bag. I have always loved my one man tent, but now while camping with my girlfriend, we both got the sleeping bags and a 2 man tent, and we love it! Very warm and comfy!
Cindy Q.
Bought it for my son he has not been able to use it yet.

I used this tent for a week straight at the Daytona Motorcycle Rally. It really shinned for it's durability in a day-long rain storm complete with a 25 minute intense hail storm. It held up GREAT!! Plenty of ventilation and liveable space. This tent is just plain great!!
Joan J.
I bought this tent to camp with my grandson. We live in upstate NY, it will be a little while before we can try our new tent. When we do, I will send a review then. We are very very excited to try our tent.

First night in the Yosemite 2 person tent. I love the 2 covered vestibule for your gear. Very pleased overall with the tent.
Hannah c.
This tent has all the features one would like in a 2-person backpacking tent! Full net tent for lots of fresh air or sky views on clear nights, easy two-pole setup, entry with a vestibule for dry gear storage on both sides, all stakes and lines included for secure tie-down. All those features and it's lightweight and compact. Whether car camping or backpacking, this is your new favorite tent!

We finally got to test our new sleeping bags and our new tent. Easy to set up we were dry and warm we had a wonderful night on top of the mountain. Can't wait for our next adventure!

I purchased this tent at the last minute after finding out I'd need a free-standing tent for an 8 day kayak trip through the Okefenokee. I have several other tents and did not want to spend a lot of money; the price was very good on this tent. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials, the accessories (came with footprint, great stakes even though I only needed them twice) and a nice tool for pressing the stakes into the ground by hand. I also appreciate the support poles all being of equal segments as I've had to make field repairs in the past (other much more expensive tents) and when the segments are uneven, it can become a problem putting it all back together!
The tent did have a very minor defect (a small hole in the mesh) but held up very well in heavy winds, heavy rain, and packed away wet. Rob at Hyke & Byke walked me through a very simple process for returning the defective tent even though it was well used over 8 days. My new replacement is already on it's way and it's the full kit, not just the tent portion!
For the price, this tent is about as good as you can do and I'll probably be using this one over my others unless extreme conditions prohibit.
I would also speak very highly of this company. Though I purchased on Amazon, the customer service provided by them was probably the same as had I purchased directly. My only criticism of Hyke & Byke is that they have a relatively limited product offering and I'd like to see a few key accessories such as camp stoves, dry bags, and water filters/containers. I'd definitely buy more from them!

Set up is a breeze. Love the spaciousness and dual doors provide easy access and extra storage. Will be giving it a test for a trip to the BWCA in May.
Will give complete review upon return.

These tents are too heavy for backpacking. However, I do use this tent for car camping. The quality of the tents are good and they have all the internal features you'd want (pockets, loft, hook to hang a lantern, etc.). I think it would be better if it was a single pole system but still quite simple to set up.
Roberto D.
I have not used it yet but I did set it up and I liked it very much. It seems to be spacious and very easy to set up.
Alyssa T.
I bought 2 of these for backpacking with my 3 kids. They are easy to set up and take down. So easy that my kids even want to take these car camping instead of our bigger tent because they are so easy to use. My 12 and 7 year old daughters can do setup and take down theirs without help from me. I’m also impressed with the durability of these tents. We were in Joshua tree for our most recent trip and I left the footprint at home. Went out for a short hike away from camp and the wind really picked up while we were gone. One of the tents was flipped on its side when we got back. Once home I inspected the tent for damage but no issues at all with the poles and no signs of rips at all in the floor. I only wish these were a little lighter since my kids split the weight of one tent between the three of them and I carry the second one but I guess it’s worth it for the durability.
Kurt S.
Sets up easily, packs down reasonably, seems sturdy in construction with good zippers and features to keep rain out. Wife & I can fit inside snugly. Not much room left with 2 people but I’m 6’ 200lbs & wife a thin 5’4” so it’s a true 2 person while most advertised 2 person tents are really 1.5 when u try to cram yourselves inside. 2 doors, 2 vestibules which are very nice. Interesting stake pushing implement not seen elsewhere. I wanted a small, fairly lightweight tent to solo camp or with occasional partner. This fits the purpose quite well and I didn’t break the bank either. I’d say it’s the best tent at this price point available, “punching well above its weight”. Gladly added to my gear list.

Easy to use and durable tent
I purchased this 2 person Yosemite tent for use as a comfortable 1 person and gear tent on scout campouts. I have taken this tent on 5 different trips and it has held up well to wind, heat and sprinkles :). Easy to put up and take down. Great amount of room inside. Mesh suitable to keep all the friendly bug outs. Many more trips planned for this tent. I highly recommend!

GREAT INVESTMENT!!
I'm Canadian and I did a ton of research for a tent that I can take backpacking that wouldn't weigh too much, and would be large enough for me and my big dog. Once I saw this tent, I kept coming back to it. Even with the exchange and duty it was a great price for a great tent! It ticks all the boxes - taped seams, the zippers work smoothly without any effort, it's roomy and well coated for waterproofing, there is a gear loft and light hook in the ceiling, and all 4 corners have pockets, no see-um mesh, decent vestibules for gear and velcro to hold the fly zipper flap down against the wind...easy to set up and take down, and it fit back into the stuff sack with no struggle! There is room for my dog and me, and my gear inside the tent!! I can't wait to use it next summer! Thank you Hyke and Byke!

Great quality
Finally got the chance to use my 2-person Yosemite tent and j was not disappointed. The material quality is durable and strong & the tent is roomy. I love the door access on both sides and accompanying outside vestibule storage under the rain fly on both sides. It’s easy to set up and, for the price, you can’t find better quality for backpacking. I also love that the footprint COMES WITH IT! It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when buying tents. The only negative is that I hate the aluminum stakes (in all backpacking tents) & find them flimsy and difficult when placing in packed dirt. Otherwise, love it!

This tent was so well packaged, felt like I should’ve just kept it as a collectors item. In all seriousness, this tent held up with rain and wind and did fantastic at keeping out the bugs. I highly recommend this company.

Great Tent, great price, great company!
I've used this tent on several backpacking trips. 2 person fits 2 people (I'm 6 ft 210 lbs). Easy and quick setup, fly gives just enough cover and tie downs. Stakes are durable and light with reflective cord (helpful for night set-ups). Great product and value! Highly recommend it. BTW--Bought one of their sleeping bags for my son to replace an old one, worked great, packed small--excellent!! just bought 2 more (1 for me).

Missing all accessories
Ordered this tent for a trip to Alaska. Just set it up pre trip, and it's literally missing all of the accessories. No stakes, no stake press, and no guy lines. Extremely disappointed there seems to be no quality control in the packing of items for shipping. Now i have to consider buying a second tent elsewhere for my trip if these parts aren't sent to me asap.

Time tested review
I have now went a full 2 seasons with this tent. It has preformed very well under all conditions. All seams still are holding with no rips or tears in the materials. I have allowed my 8&11 year olds, sleeping in this tent with theirs friends. Kids usaully are able to find the weak points of any product
.... Not only would I would buy this tent, but now seeing the quality, I would honestly pay double for it.... Now that I am looking for another sleeping bag, my first choice is here. Hope this review helps anyone considering Hyke&Byke

Great for backpacking!
I bought two two person and two one person tents for my family. They didn't disappoint! Easy to set up and take down (the kids did their own). It rained out first night out, everyone stayed dry with no leaks. Our backpacks and hiking boots were stored in the vestibules and remained dry throughout the night. I highly recommend these tents!

It’s Great
My first tent purchase and I am not disappointed. Took it out the first time last weekend and got pounded by a storm the second night. High winds and lots of rain. My tent was sturdy and dry. Not a drop of water anywhere! Nothing splashing from the sides and no moisture seeped in under my sleeping pad from the bottom. Truly a great Product. Highly recommend.

Great tent!
I bought this tent based on reviews and research without knowing anything about Hyke and Byke and I was not disappointed! My tent decision came down to this tent and a Marmot. The first day of my backpacking trip it rained for nearly two hours and it held up great and I did not get wet. I did not have time to prepare the ground around the tent and the rain flowed under the tent between the footprint and the floor of the tent. The water never leaked through and all my gear stayed dry inside the tent. The second day of the trip it rained for 6-7 hours non-stop. By this time I had prepared the ground with a trench around the tent so it wouldn’t flow under again. I stayed completely dry again! This tent was amazing and I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone! Thank you Hyke and Byke for a great tent for an amazing price! Well done!

Great for 6 day cycling trip
I bought the 2-person Yosemite tent for the six day RAGBRAI ride across Iowa. Each night, I picked up my two duffel bags from the truck and set up my Hyke&Byke tent. The tent went up easily in a couple of minutes. It comes with a footprint to protect the floor of the tent. A small disc in the tent stake bag allows you to painlessly drive in your stakes. The tent had lots of room, and two side areas under the zipped tarp for my bags. It was quite easy to take down and pack away each day. On hot days, the tent vented well and was reasonably cool. On a night of pouring rain, my tent kept me dry when others were drenched. I would buy this tent again!

Great for a motorcycle trip
I selected this for my motorcycle trip May 31 – July 18. The ride was over 12,000 miles from the East Coast through the prairies of Canada, the Icefields Parkway in the Canadian Rockies, and Alaskan Highway. Then on the Dempster Highway to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean, over the Top of the World Highway from the Yukon to Alaska, around Alaska and back through the Rockies, Minnesota and home.
Outstanding performance. Most of the trip was camping and the inside of the Yosemite 2 and everything in it stayed absolutely dry. The mesh inner lining also keeps out all bugs.
The rainfly is separate and sits above the mesh. Condensation accumulates on the underside of the rainfly so the inside of the tent stays dry. In the morning hang the rainfly up and it dries quite quickly. When raining, delay setting up the tent until the rain stops because the mesh won’t stop moisture, but setup takes about 10 minutes and the waterproofing is outstanding.
Cleaning is easy. In the morning, remove the rainfly but leave the rest of the tent intact on the poles, open the two screen mesh doors, tip the tent upside down and shake out all the accumulation. No brush or dustpan needed.
The tent will not easily fit two people and stuff, but it worked very well for one person and the motorcycle gear that had to stay dry.
This tent is on my BFF list.

Ultralight, Ultradry, Ultrareflective, Ultrahappy!
I've spent a lot of time sleeping under the stars and getting rained on. I bought this tent for a recent backpacking trip, hoping to stay dry, and I was not disappointed. The tent was extremely easy to setup and it kept me as dry as can be despite a severe thunderstorm that lasted more than an hour. The tent withstood strong winds and was roomy inside for me and all my gear. I bought the 2-person version, which seems like it would have been small for 2 people and all their gear, if they were going to stay inside all the time. But for sleeping 2 people, it would be fine. Other than keeping me dry, the reflective guy-wires were probably the next best feature. Other people were tripping all over their tents and wires in the dark, but mine were highly visible and kept me away from clumsy feet. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to add vents near the top of the rain fly so rising warm air can circulate when the rest of the rain fly is closed. Still, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Light, Easy Setup
Used the Yosemite 2P backpacking the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim, camping 3 nights in the canyon. Because of my size and age, the weight of the tent was very important to me. I shared the tent with my sister, and it only added a little over 2.5 pounds to each of our packs. If you do this hike, there is no reason to carry the stakes as they are useless in the Grand Canyon - we just took them on a 24 mile ride :-)
Although easier with two people, I was able to quickly set the tent up by myself. The materials stood up to the rough environment and there are plenty of pockets to store small gear, flashlights, etc.
It was 106 the day we were at Phantom Ranch. Not sure the temperature that night, but very warm. Without the rainfly, the tent was comfortable!
All in all, a great tent for a very affordable price! Many thanks to Daniel and the Hyke & Byke crew!

COMPLETE tent with quality material and great views!!
I purchased this tent, so it wasn't a giveaway or promotional item. This tent is everything I was looking for! The cargo pockets in all four corners and the hanging basket are awesome! When backpacking or just camping, I love to look at the stars, and this tent makes it easy to do! The rainfly will only go on when needed, though it looks great on the tent. The fact that this tent comes with its own floor saver, aluminum stakes, and sealed seams are total bonuses that you typically have to buy separately. If I had seen this company prior to purchasing my ALPS Mountaineering Chaos 3, Hyke & Byke would have been my first choice! Everything about this tent screams quality at an affordable price! Thank you, Hyke & Byke!!!

Perfect for Backpacking!
I bought this 2 person tent for my Boy Scout after seeing how great the quality was with the 0 degree sleeping bags. The first night my son used this tent it rained and this tent kept him completely dry! While the other Scouts in his troop were putting tarps over their tents my son didn't have to! This is a great quality tent, packs up small and is very light weight... perfect for his long backpacking trips. Its also very roomy, the tent fit two big teenage boys and all their gear. Thank you so much!

When I ordered this tent I was just trying to save a few bucks and thought I would just get a cheap tent, man was I wrong, this tent is as good as any 300.00 dollar tent. So easy to set up. I would recommend this tent to anyone. Thanks Guys

1st Use, Rainy Night, I was Dry :-)
I bought this tent YOSEMITE 2P BACKPACKING TENT because it was about a pound lighter than my marmot tent, i was looking forward to using it and seeing how I liked it compared to my other tent. Finally our scout monthly campout (I'm assistant scoutmaster) and we went up to Blue Jay, Falcon group site campground in the Clevland National Forest, it was a cold and stormy evening and we were in the fog on the mountain top and it started raining, then it would stop, then rain, so everyone set up their tents in-between the rain bursts. Normally I would set up a new tent at home before taking it out, but I didn't this time, so it was a first time set up, no instructions to go by, no pictures to look at, but it was a really easy set up, easier than my "other" tent, and it was nice that it came with stakes, footprint, and string, everything you need, nice! As I turned in for the night (in my Hyke & Byke 0 degree sleeping bag) there was no rain, but some time later I woke up to the rain pouring down, I did a quick look around inside the tent, nice and dry! no spray or splashing coming in, just the sound of rain and me nice and dry and warm inside. So for the first outing with this tent, Im very happy with it, and looking forward to many more great campouts with it!
